Delete your data from ely
You can ask ely to delete the data it holds about you at any time. This page explains how, for businesses that connected a Facebook Page and for guests who messaged a business through ely.
Remove ely from your Facebook account
If you connected a Facebook Page to ely, you can remove ely's access yourself:
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Open Business integrations (on some accounts, Apps and websites).
- Find Ely, select Remove, and confirm.
Removing ely stops it from receiving or answering the Page's messages. To also delete the data ely already holds, send us a request as described below.
Ask us to delete your data
Email hello@ely.ph with the subject "Data deletion request" and include:
- Businesses: the name of the Facebook Page or business, and the email address on your ely account.
- Guests: the name of the business you messaged, the name on your Facebook account, and roughly when you messaged.
We will confirm that the request came from you, then delete the data within 30 days and email you when it is done.
What we delete
- For a business: the Page access token and Page details ely received from Meta, and the Page's Messenger conversations stored by ely.
- For a guest: the messages you sent and received through ely, your Page-scoped ID and your profile name.
We may keep a record that a deletion took place, and any information we must keep to meet a legal obligation. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
